Metaphysics in Tolkien

In February 2009 I was invited to give a short lecture on Tolkien and his poem Mythopoeia at Peterborough Regional College in East Anglia. Dear folks over there, thank you very much for inviting me, I really enjoyed being with you!

I was expected to tell people with little or no knowledge of Tolkien and of philosophy something about the metaphysics that can be traced in Tolkien´s work. So I decided to give an abbreviated version of my article on Mythopoeia, enriched with some remarks on Tolkien in general.
